Meet Patrick Basile
Guidance and inspiration often come to us when we least expect them. We often set off in one particular direction, then all of a sudden someone or something comes into our lives and changes our course.
When Patrick was studying finance as a sophomore in college at MTSU, he received an unexpected phone call from a man named Dr. Kenneth Hollman. At the time, Dr. Hollman was the chair of MTSU’s insurance program. He was a very persistent and persuasive person, and even though Patrick had zero interest or knowledge of insurance, he was able to convince Patrick to change his major and shift his concentration to insurance.
Patrick graduated Magna Cum Laude from MTSU’s insurance program and worked in the specialized insurance industry during and after college. He then entered the public adjusting side of insurance, promoting through sales and leadership roles.
Patrick has always been intrigued by the idea that insurance is so simple, yet seemingly complex and confusing. Almost immediately after entering the insurance program, family members, friends, and even acquaintances began asking Patrick insurance-related questions or sharing a past insurance experiences looking for insight. This remained a common occurrence throughout college and increased when Patrick entered the workforce—even through when he was not in the insurance industry.
Throughout his professional career and personal life, his insurance experience has continually been called upon, so when it came time for him to start a business, an independent insurance agency was his natural choice. Patrick founded P&C Insurance because he believes clients should feel educated and empowered to buy the insurance products that fit their needs.
Patrick saw that most people are buying insurance because they need it, but they are not getting any personal guidance throughout the process and commonly have a limited understanding of what they have purchased. He also noticed many people do not have any type of relationship with their agent (or insurance company) where they feel comfortable calling and asking questions.
Patrick wants to change this situation he sees continuously. He is committed to ensuring his clients feel taken care of and are comfortable asking him questions. He is happy to meet in person, or virtually, and will take whatever amount of time needed to go over your coverage so you know what you are purchasing. He puts together both coverage and premium options for comparison, so his clients are aware of what he has to offer, and explains why each is presented.
Starting P&C Insurance has been a goal of his for years, and Patrick is excited to be pursuing his dream of business ownership.
In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, home improvement projects, and cooking with Cati.
